Welcome! And thanks for visiting my website!

As an independent consultant who works with nonprofit and public sector clients – many in the fields of health care and public health – I feel fortunate to be able to do the work that I do. Why?

  1. My clients are thoughtful, compassionate, and lively people who are making a difference in their communities – and who want to do even better by both themselves and those they serve.

  2. It feels great to know that I’m helping them be more effective in their roles and professional relationships, and at the same time helping them create more enjoyment and satisfaction in their work lives and those of their coworkers.

  3. I’m passionate about the topics my work touches on: Authentic relationships. Meaningful work. Well-being. Innovation. Engagement.

  4. What I do is fun! There are few things I find more energizing than rolling up my sleeves to design and facilitate processes that will get my clients what they need – whether that’s a new skill, a strategic plan, a sense of team cohesion, or new perspective on a challenge or issue.

Happily, my clients feel good about working with me too! Click on these links to see reactions from happy clients and workshop participants, along with a list of some of my clients. I’m honored that many of my consulting clients are “repeat customers” with whom I’ve developed rewarding and collaborative working relationships.

What makes my approach unique?

As a Licensed Applied Psychologist (with a focus on organizational settings), I bring a psychologist’s eye and skill set to every project I undertake. Specifically, I...

  1. Facilitate authentic dialogue to enhance working relationships, clear away roadblocks, and identify possibilities.

  2. Help my clients look beneath the surface of everyday challenges to understand the complex dynamics at play.
  3. Help both individuals and groups gain insight into themselves and develop the best strategies for working with their unique styles, strengths, and challenges.

  4. Apply rigorous research and assessment approaches to real-world questions and challenges.

  5. Provide encouragement, support, and perspective during challenging times.

I’ve been doing all this as an independent consultant since 2003. Prior to that, I was employed in a variety of settings – group consulting, higher education, business, and nonprofit – holding roles related to organizational and leadership development, teaching and training, career and personal counseling, research, fundraising, marketing, and communications. (For a fuller picture of my career journey, download my C.V.) These varied experiences inform my work and help me bring a broad, practical perspective to the projects I undertake with my consulting clients.

If the fit is right, I’d love to work with YOU and your group.
